Self-Esteem, Coping Strategies, and Anxiety Among Generation Z: A correlational Study

Abstract:
This research work focuses on the relationships between trait anxiety, coping strategies, and self-esteem among Generation Z. The research study showed a significant relationship between trait anxiety, coping strategies, and self-esteem through quantitative research. The results emphasize the importance of understanding these variables in order to promote Generation Z's mental health. Through providing insight into the intricate relationships among self-esteem, coping strategies, and trait anxiety among Generation Z, this study makes a significant contribution to the area of applied psychology. The significance of these findings is towards treatments and support initiatives targeted at boosting the resilience and self-esteem of Generation Z are discussed.

Abstract:
Plagiarism, the act of using someone else's work without proper attribution, is a pervasive issue in academia, professional fields, and creative endeavors. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of the various types and definitions of plagiarism, shedding light on its nuanced manifestations and implications. By categorizing plagiarism into distinct forms such as verbatim plagiarism, paraphrasing plagiarism, mosaic plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and idea plagiarism, this study aims to offer clarity and insight into the complexity of this ethical transgression. Additionally, it explores the evolving nature of plagiarism in the digital age, considering factors such as the ease of access to information, the proliferation of online content, and the challenges posed by emerging technologies. Through an examination of case studies and scholarly perspectives, this paper highlights the importance of promoting academic integrity and fostering a culture of originality and ethical scholarship. Moreover, it discusses strategies for plagiarism prevention and detection, emphasizing the role of education, awareness, and robust citation practices in addressing this critical issue.

Abstract:
Families are a student's first point of contact with the world. Parents and other influential family members ensure young people's early training and socialization. Families lay the psychological, moral, and spiritual foundations for a child's holistic development. Structurally, marriages and families are either destroyed or together. In this circumstance, a broken marriage is not structurally stable due to divorce or other reasons such as separation, death outside of marriage, or only one parent. The purpose of this study is to examine students' perceptions of the impact of marital failure on their academic performance. This study used a descriptive research design using quantitative and qualitative data collection methods. This approach was chosen because it is applicable across the population, time-saving, and cost-effective. Data collection included primary and secondary sources, with primary data allowing for personal contact and interviews with respondents, while secondary data focused on theoretical insights and literature from other authors. This study was carried out at the Ernest Bai Koroma University of Science and Technology in the Northern Region of Sierra Leone. One thousand participants were selected for the study, including students, faculty, staff, and residents of both sexes around the university. Random and purposive sampling methods were used to select the respondents. A sample of 200 participants of both sexes was selected, out of which 100 students, 50 lecturers from the Faculty of Education, and 50 residents of the university area were selected to express their opinions

Abstract:

This study explores the application and implications of Douglas McGregor's Theory X and Theory Y within the context of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC), a prominent entity in India's energy sector. McGregor's theories present contrasting views on employee motivation and management, where Theory X perceives employees as inherently lazy and needing strict supervision, while Theory Y posits that employees are self-motivated and thrive in an empowering environment. The research aims to assess the prevalence of Theory X and Theory Y characteristics among ONGC employees through a descriptive analysis using secondary data and a primary survey conducted via a Likert scale questionnaire. The study examines demographic factors such as age, gender, designation, income, and experience to understand how these variables influence motivational dynamics within the organization. By analyzing these perspectives, the study seeks to provide insights into employee motivation levels at ONGC and recommend strategies for enhancing organizational performance and employee engagement in the energy sector.

Abstract:

Understanding consumer behaviour is crucial for marketers aiming to create effective strategies, as it allows them to anticipate and respond to consumer needs, preferences, and decision-making processes. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the diverse factors that influence consumer behaviour, organizing them into four primary dimensions: psychological, social, cultural, and economic. The psychological dimension explores how individual perceptions, motivations, attitudes, and personality traits impact purchasing decisions. The social dimension examines the role of social groups, family, and peer influences, as well as the impact of social media and word-of-mouth. The cultural dimension considers how cultural values, traditions, and societal norms shape consumer preferences and behaviours. Lastly, the economic dimension analyzes how factors such as income, economic conditions, and pricing strategies affect consumer choices. By synthesizing current research across these dimensions, the paper not only identifies the key factors driving consumer behavior but also discusses their implications for marketing practices, offering insights that can help marketers develop more targeted and effective strategies. This integrated approach provides a deeper understanding of the complex interplay between these factors, ultimately contributing to more successful marketing outcomes.
